Prof. J. N. Joshi, Prof. Emeritus and Founder Chairman of IDC Dies at 90

With profound grief and sorrow, we inform you about the untimely demise of our revered former Chairperson, Prof. J. N. Joshi. He passed away in the early morning of July 7, 2023.

Prof. Joshi was the founder and Chairperson of the Institute for Development and Communication (IDC) and Professor Emeritus in the Department of Education at Panjab University, Chandigarh. He leaves behind an indelible legacy in the field of education.

To honor the memory of Prof. J. N. Joshi, a condolence meeting was held at IDC on 08.07.2023. The members of the faculty, staff and members of the IDC Society remembered his remarkable achievements, his unwavering commitment to education, and his invaluable contributions to our institute.

His death is a big loss for the whole of the academic community. He left a deep impact on our lives and the educational landscape.
