IDC INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME
The IDC Internship Programme is designed to bring students and research scholars with diverse academic backgrounds into the institute to work on ongoing research projects and assist in teaching. Its main goal is to give interns the opportunity to improve their analytical and technical skills and to broaden their critical thinking.
The IDC Internship Programme is on an on-going basis constraint to availability of mentors. Students enrolled at recognized universities/research institutes for degree programme (Bachelor,Master,PhD) during entire duration of their internship may apply online. The mode of internship will be strictly offline.
Who Can Apply?
- Internship is open for students who are enrolled in a full time degree programme at the time of internship;
- Interns are assigned work in ongoing research projects or in academic activities ;
- knowledge of quantitative and IT skills;
- Interns are capable of working in teams.
In majority internships are based in IDC but regarding the assigned work the interns have to go with their mentors or in teams for conducting field surveys and to visit government offices to get information and data relating to assigned tasks. The interns of Masters and PhD may be involved in teaching assistance.
When to Apply?
Interns may apply via IDC online application platform throughout the year. The application may contain the duration of internship and joining date.
Due to high volume of applications it will not be possible to give feedback to each applicant. The shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews only.
Selection Process: The selection process consists of following stages:
- Pre-screening of online applications addressed to the internship office;
- The suitable candidates are shortlisted;
- The shortlisted candidates are made available to the concerned directors of departments for final interviews on the specific dates and time.
