CALL FOR BOOK PROPOSALS
Ethics Press invites proposals for scholarly books and edited collections in Humanities and Social Sciences, and broader related fields including Life Sciences and Health Sciences. Ethics Press specializes in books for the academic market.
Suitable proposals will be independently reviewed. To review a proposal, we will require a completed proposal form, a sample of the proposed book, and a current cv. If you are unsure whether a proposal is likely to be selected for review, you are welcome to send a summary or abstract first. You can download a Book Proposal Form, and see our Notes of Guidance for Authorshere.
Our books are all published in English, initially in academic hardback and eBook format, with a paperback version released later. The books we select range from 50,000 words to around 150,000 words. We make no charges to publish.
Our subject coverage includes:
- • arts, humanities and social science topics including history, society and culture, community, and language and literature.
- • global challenges, such as war and conflict, human rights, sustainability and climate change, food security, poverty, and technology/AI. Our portfolio on issues and challenges associated with Artificial Intelligence is particularly popular
- • human rights and equality, including indigenous studies and land rights, and race and gender issues
- • applied fields, such as bioethics, education, the built environment, data ethics, and all areas of business, economics and finance, and decision making
- • politics and government, both national and regional. Our portfolio covers a diverse range of issues, from US election politics, to international banking, to global policy issues
- • legal and medical issues, covering healthcare, psychology, counselling and childhood studies, and medicine, including medical ethics
- • philosophical issues such as religion and faith, philosophy, and ethics and morality
- • non-technical topics in the fields of health sciences and life sciences
We will consider adapted Doctoral Theses, and Edited Collections, including adaptations from conferences and symposia. You can find information on our Edited Collections, and any current Calls for Chapters, on our website.
